Job Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to lead our pre-opening team in ensuring our new hotel is ready to welcome its first guests. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement and installation of hotel equipment, coordinating with contractors and vendors, and ensuring the hotel meets all safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct facilities inspections to identify defects and coordinate repairs or installations prior to opening
  • Oversee procurement of hotel equipment and machinery, ensuring all equipment is installed and in working order
  • Ensure the hotel meets all safety and regulatory requirements, including compliance with building codes, fire safety regulations, and health standards
  • Liaise with contractors and vendors to develop and maintain maintenance agreements
  • Create a preventative maintenance programme to ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for guests

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Advanced vocational training plus two years of experience in general building maintenance or construction, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Professional certification and licence if required by law
  • Hotel experience preferred
  • Demonstrated capability of collaborating with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and passion for developing your team
  • Strategic thinking and ability to explore new ways of working
