Job Title: Legal Counsel

We are seeking a seasoned legal expert to provide strategic support and deliver high-quality results across various projects.

This role involves providing expert legal guidance, conducting extensive contract reviews, negotiating with clients and sub-consultants, and offering advice on liability and risk management.

The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to develop the legal intellectual capital of the business, ensuring efficient provision of processes and procedures while minimizing risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake contract reviews and negotiations on proposed contracts and tenders;
  • Review and advise on agreements and related issues;
  • Provide legal advice on liability and risk identification, allocation and management;
  • Work in collaboration with senior stakeholders to ensure transparency and efficient service delivery;
  • Assist with debt collection activities and provide advice on matters arising in contract administration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in law, postgraduate qualifications desirable, and a current practicing certificate. They should have at least 5 years' experience in PAE legal roles, including commercial law, construction law, and debt collection.

Desirable Traits:

Strong negotiation and communication skills, a high level of written and verbal skills, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work under pressure.
