Job Description

As a Site Supervisor at a community centre, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a welcoming environment that fosters the support and security of staff, volunteers, and family members.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching, guiding, and managing staff, including conducting regular individual supervision meetings, overseeing skill development, and educating about referrals and processes.

They will also assist the Manager and Director with daily operations by directly supervising staff and volunteers, covering breaks, and working as needed.

This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills to ensure seamless service delivery while promoting ongoing improvement and upholding a family member-centered approach.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a respectful and non-judgmental environment.
  • Clinically leading direct line support to family members when required.
  • Providing training and guidance on crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
  • Developing and implementing effective problem-solving strategies.
  • Working collaboratively with team members to achieve shared goals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A diploma in a related social services field.
  • Experience in a senior supervisory role within the community social services sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
