Senior Business Services Accountant Opportunity

This role involves managing and maintaining client portfolios, preparing financial statements and income tax returns for various entity types, attending to compliance obligations, and providing tax and accounting solutions.

  • Manage and maintain a personal portfolio of clients
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements
  • Attend to compliance obligations, including income tax, goods and services tax (GST), superannuation, land tax, and stamp duty
  • Provide tax advice and prepare taxation returns
  • Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, cash flows, and financial models
  • Handle self-managed super fund (SMSF) administration and compliance
  • Liaise with external parties regarding client matters
  • Prepare and review monthly management reports
  • Engage in value-added projects and contribute to internal process improvements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in public practice as a senior accountant or business services manager
  • A Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification
  • Experience managing staff and mentoring junior team members
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues
  • High attention to detail and the ability to see the big picture
  • Experience with MYOB, QuickBooks, and Xero
  • Proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire for new challenges

Key Responsibilities
