Role Overview
The Supply Chain Optimization Specialist is responsible for developing and executing inventory allocation plans that ensure optimal stock levels across the store network.
This involves analyzing sales and merchandise data to support the Merchandise teams in translating product strategy into allocations that meet customer expectations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive sales, minimize markdowns, and achieve inventory targets based on category and financial plans.
- Design and implement allocation strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
- Allocate stock in line with location strategy, item planning, SPO usage, in-season performance, and category targets via data analytics.
- Develop and execute system allocations to ensure timely delivery of stock to stores.
- Provide accurate, regular, and ad hoc reporting and analysis to inform decision-making.
- Offer insights and recommendations to category buyers on key trends, quantities, and locations.
- Support planners with problem-solving and provide guidance on inventory management best practices.
- Prioritize and manage merchandise returns and supplier delivery performance.
- Oversee Purchase Order tracking report and follow up on outstanding orders.
- Essential qualifications include prior experience in Supply Chain or Planning Analytics, with a focus on driving sales, minimizing markdowns, and achieving inventory targets.
- A strong background in supply chain or planning analytics is required, along with intermediate technology/computer skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills to drive business outcomes.
