Technical Consultant Role

We are a locally based IT services firm partnering with small to medium businesses across multiple industries. Our team delivers managed services, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity consulting with a strong focus on aligning technology to business outcomes.

Due to ongoing growth, we are now seeking a senior technical consultant who can provide escalation support, strengthen client environments, and contribute to project delivery.

  • Managing and supporting client environments across servers, networking, and Azure cloud infrastructure
  • Configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate), VPNs, and security appliances for optimal performance
  • Supporting cybersecurity initiatives including Essential Eight compliance (patching, application whitelisting, admin access restrictions)
  • Hardening Microsoft 365 environments (multi-factor authentication, Conditional Access, Defender, Intune) for enhanced security
  • Assisting with vulnerability remediation following penetration testing or Nessus scans
  • Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to documentation and process improvements for efficient operations
  • Engaging directly with clients to deliver both technical solutions and strategic IT input for successful projects
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in a senior technical support or consulting role within an MSP environment
  • Solid understanding of Azure IaaS and cloud networking fundamentals
  • Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls (configuration, policy management, troubleshooting) for optimal results
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 security features (multi-factor authentication, Defender, Conditional Access, Intune)
  • ITIL v4 certification for IT service management excellence
  • Microsoft and Azure certifications for advanced technical expertise
