Job Title: Specialist Mental Health Care Professional
">We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced clinician to provide specialist child and adolescent mental health care to consumers with a diagnosed eating disorder. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
The role involves delivering comprehensive assessments, education, counseling, and group work to consumers and their families. You will also be required to undertake discipline-specific assessments as needed and act as a consultant and resource to the community on child and adolescent mental health eating disorders.
In addition, you will promote access and equity of services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialist child and adolescent mental health care to consumers with a diagnosed eating disorder.
- Provide assessment, education, counseling, and group work.
- Undertake discipline-specific assessments as required.
- Act as a consultant and resource to the community by providing information and education on child and adolescent mental health eating disorders.
- Promote access and equity of services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people and their families.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification.
- Clinical experience in the treatment and management of complex child and adolescent mental health issues.
- Demonstrated knowledge of clinical theory and practice within the relevant discipline.
