Eating Disorders Clinician Role

We are seeking a highly skilled clinician to provide specialist child and adolescent mental health care to consumers with a diagnosed eating disorder.

  • Deliver comprehensive mental health services including assessment, education, counselling and group work.
  • Undertake discipline specific assessments as required to support understanding of presenting mental health and eating disorder issues.
  • Promote access and equity of services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people and their families.
About the Position

This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician to contribute to delivering high-quality healthcare through hospital and community services and programs.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the treatment and management of complex child and adolescent mental health issues, including eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing specialist child and adolescent mental health care to consumers with a diagnosed eating disorder.
  • Undertaking discipline specific assessments as required.
  • Acting as a consultant and resource to CAMHS, other agencies and the community by providing information and education on child, adolescent and family mental health eating disorders.
  • Promoting access and equity of services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people and their families.
