Support Young People as a Disability Support Worker

This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of young people with disabilities. As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide support and assistance to clients residing in residential homes or supported independent living environments.

The role involves supporting clients with daily activities, providing emotional support, and promoting their independence and well-being. You will work closely with a team of experienced professionals to deliver high-quality care and services that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing support and assistance to clients with daily activities
  • Assisting with personal care and hygiene
  • Encouraging social interaction and community engagement
  • Supporting clients with communication and daily living skills

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 COVID-19 vaccinations
  • 6 months+ relevant experience as a Disability Support Worker or similar field
  • Experience in engaging and supporting young people
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including short hours, long hours, AM, PM, and sleepover shifts
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Current NDIS Workers Screening (or acceptable check)
  • Current NSW Working with Children clearance (or willing to obtain)
  • Unrestricted Australian drivers license*
