Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Irrigation Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing irrigation systems and ensuring the smooth operation of grounds maintenance equipment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain irrigation systems to optimize water efficiency and ensure healthy turf growth.
  • Operate and maintain grounds maintenance equipment, including mowers, tractors, and other machinery.
  • Develop and implement effective turf management strategies to achieve optimal results.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and execute grounds maintenance projects.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures.

Requirements
  • High School graduation plus five years' experience in public works, construction, landscaping, or grounds maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced training in turf management is preferred.
  • A valid Class B CDL Driver's license with air brake and tanker endorsements is required.
  • A valid hydraulic engineer license is also required.
  • Pesticide and turf management certifications are necessary.
  • A good driving record is essential.
  • A valid Commonwealth of Massachusetts pesticide applicator's license with a commercial certificate and subcategory 37 turf is required.
