Supervisor Opportunity at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is a leading tourist destination in Queensland, and we are seeking a passionate Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Food and Beverage Team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring efficient daily operations, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

This hands-on role reports to the Food & Beverage Operations Manager and requires leading, coaching, and motivating your team to deliver professional and memorable guest experiences. You will be responsible for core service duties such as food and coffee service, opening and closing of outlets, and assisting with roster management, inventory control, and ordering.

As our ideal candidate, you will have previous supervisory experience in the food and beverage industry, with knowledge of cash control, food safety, WHS requirements, and complaint handling. You will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, a flexible attitude, and a willingness to work in an outdoor environment with animals.

About You
  • You will be a friendly and welcoming individual who can genuinely lead a team; you will have a sense of fun, being able to supervise, motivate, and inspire all team members to provide outstanding efficient, safe, and memorable guest service.
  • Previous Food & Beverage Supervisory experience and knowledge of cash control, food service, food safety, general WHS requirements, and complaint handling are essential.
  • Experience with team training and writing SOPs to ensure best customer service delivery is highly regarded.
  • You will be an excellent problem solver and demonstrate a flexible, cooperative attitude.
  • Be prepared to work in an outdoor environment, in all weathers, in a role that requires substantial walking in a workplace that contains animals, including birds and reptiles.
  • Hold current Queensland RSA, Barista skills, and Food Safety Certificate.
  • Flexible availability to work across weekends is required.
