About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect and Engineering Leader to join our HelloFresh tech team based in Chippendale, Sydney.

This is a hybrid role that requires you to work 3 days a week from our office and have flexibility to manage your work-life balance.

You will lead the design, development, and deployment of microservices for our SCM platform using Python and Go. Your expertise in backend development, architecture, and engineering will be invaluable in shaping our product delivery roadmap.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in cloud computing, software development, and leadership. They will also be passionate about creating scalable solutions, mentoring team members, and promoting engineering excellence.

About the Team

You will be part of a global engineering organization with over 400 engineers across multiple locations. Our team is diverse, vibrant, and international with offices in 17 countries.

What You'll Do

  • Backend Focus: Design, develop, and deploy microservices using Python and Go for our SCM platform.
  • Collaborate and Lead: Work closely with the product owner to shape our product delivery roadmap and uphold top engineering standards.
  • Mentor and Guide: Provide guidance through coaching, pair programming, and code reviews to help your team achieve excellence.
  • Innovate and Improve: Utilize agile methodologies and continuous improvement techniques to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Technical Expertise: Extensive experience in backend development with Python and Go as well as AWS experience.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of leading teams, mentoring, and promoting engineering excellence.
  • Problem-Solving: Innovative approach to solving complex challenges.
  • Team Spirit: Collaborative attitude and eagerness to understand various facets of our business.

What We Offer

Location

This is a hybrid role that requires you to work 3 days a week from our office in Chippendale, Sydney, just 10 minutes from Central Station.
