About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Cloud Solution Architect Leader to join our growing team of architecture and solution design professionals. As a key member, you will drive technology decisions to enable KPMG Australia to put best-of-breed products in the market. This involves owning and stewarding new solutions from feasibility through deployment and ongoing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex solution architecture projects from conception to implementation, consulting with stakeholders to capture requirements and translating them into viable solutions along with project sizing and estimation.
  • Spearhead definition of CTG's technical strategies for domains under your responsibility, working closely with other CTG colleagues to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical capabilities.
  • Create solution designs explaining the problem, architecture, system workings, security and data privacy considerations, and delivery methods.
  • Contribute to our emerging AI practice, collaborating with AI architects and technical leads to architect robust, scalable AI-based solutions aligned to our Trusted AI framework.
  • Research appropriate technologies and patterns to find the best solution among possible options to solve business problems.
  • Maintain the CTG Architecture Repository, contributing to strategic architecture roadmaps, design patterns, and domain architectures.
  • Participate in architecture governance boards, setting architectural direction, and collaborate with R&D teams to prototype innovative solutions.
  • Lead and mentor newer members of the SA Chapter, providing guidance and feedback on their designs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Industry-recognised certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to build relationships quickly with stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, handling conflicting priorities and monitoring workload effectively.
  • Deep understanding of various technologies including cloud services, databases, networking, enterprise software, and development frameworks.
  • Ability to integrate disparate systems and ensure seamless communication between technology stacks.
