Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Business Operations Specialist to join our national Safety team.

The selected candidate will work closely with General Managers, National Safety Manager and operational leaders across multiple businesses in our group.

You will contribute to the development and implementation of our Safety Management Strategy and System, actively coaching businesses on best practices for system requirements.

You will also identify and facilitate process improvement projects as well as being heavily involved in establishing new facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Champion workplace safety culture.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to enhance their knowledge and understanding of accountabilities and system requirements.
  • Monitor and report on safety performance, identifying opportunities to improve through risk reduction strategies.
  • Provide support and guidance to managers and leadership teams on safety performance, developments, and procedural requirements.
  • Drive business process improvements in Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery areas of portfolio businesses/sites through structured approach.
  • Manage incident investigation, reporting and preventative action processes.
  • Support return to work of injured employees.
  • Identify, manage and utilise appropriate risk management tools across the business.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • A degree or diploma in Workplace Health, Safety or equivalent.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
  • Incident Causation Analysis Model (ICAM) Training (desirable).
  • A successful track record of process improvements.
  • Relevant industry experience within a national or multi-site setting.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and reporting lines.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills.
  • Logical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A working knowledge of Australian workplace health and safety management systems and standards.
