About this Role

The Workshop Manager plays a critical role in our Major Workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team to ensure all equipment is repaired, serviced, and maintained to high standards
  • Managing workshop staff to coordinate outside repairs of hire fleet and plant equipment
  • Assessing equipment for the best financial outcome
  • Monitoring inventory levels to ensure necessary supplies are available
  • Reviewing out-of-service equipment lists and slow-moving assets

Requirements include:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in vehicle management, purchasing, maintenance, logistics, heavy machinery, and workshop management
  • Trade or engineering qualifications in a mechanical field an advantage
  • Sound knowledge of Fleet Management Systems as they relate to farm machinery, heavy vehicles, and passenger vehicles
  • Proactive problem solver with high attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication skills, teamwork focused, 'can do' attitude
