About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Care Assistant/Assistant in Nursing to join our Frenchs Forest clinic on a full-time basis, working Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to our patients, ensuring their safety and well-being in line with our Vision.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the nursing team in delivering nursing care in an acute care environment.
  • Assist patients by taking vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, saturation, height, and weight.
  • Document patient progress notes and clinical records accurately, adhering to organizational protocols.
  • Prepare rooms, clean equipment, order consumable stores, and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Holt33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Descriptor: Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care) or currently studying Bachelor of Nursing or a degree deemed appropriate.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy towards patients and their carers.
  • Well-developed organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to unexpected changes.
  • Desirable: experience working with electronic medical records.
