Northern Beaches Hospital, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Ward Clerk to join our dynamic team.
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and patient care-focused individual to work in a part-time role, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our patients and staff.
About Us:
Northern Beaches Hospital is a world-class healthcare facility, providing Level 5 delineation services to both public and private patients. Our hospital features 486 beds, a 50-bed Emergency Department, and 14 state-of-the-art theatres, including cardiac catheter labs. We are proud to be home to some of Australia's leading clinical specialists and a training ground for the clinicians of the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing patient-centred customer service, including greeting all customers, handling enquiries, and booking appointments.
- Maintaining accurate and timely patient information data collection and processing of medical records.
- Liaising with medical staff and undertaking general administration duties.
- Managing patient electronic records, ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of patient information.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Experience in an acute patient-focused healthcare facility or hospital.
- Highly developed interpersonal and time management skills, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Good computer literacy and sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- A track record of providing great service and customer experience.
- Strong interpersonal communication and report writing skills.
