Job Description

The primary objective of this Electrical Reliability Engineer role is to deliver specialized engineering expertise in compliance, defect elimination, and process control improvements. You will be responsible for the electrical asset condition monitoring program and lead electrical defect elimination investigations.

As a key member of the team, you will drive plant performance from an electrical aspect by linking reliability with in-house process control engineers, the Operational Technology team, and the Electrical Projects team. Your focal point will be on providing technical guidance within the fixed plant maintenance support team.

Additionally, you will provide the fixed plant maintenance department with engineering troubleshooting and mentoring support, either directly or by coordinating input from engineering specialists.

Responsibilities
  • Develop new and existing maintenance strategies and tactics.
  • Be accountable for the electrical asset condition monitoring program.
  • Lead electrical defect elimination investigations and effectively manage assigned electrical defects.
  • Drive plant performance from an electrical aspect.
  • Act as the focal point for electrical technical guidance within the fixed plant maintenance support team.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • A collaborative team player who openly supports the group's reliability initiatives and systems of work.
  • Experience with Citect/SCADA systems.
  • Experience applying reliability methods and techniques in the relevant industry (e.g., RCA facilitation, RCM application and FMEA/FMECA development).
  • Knowledge and understanding of Australian Electrical & Instrumentation installation standards, plus industrial safety, engineering standards and codes.
  • Proficient use of CMMS systems such as SAP, AX or other similar software.
