We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our dynamic team at LiveBig. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disability, providing high-quality support and person-centred, evidence-informed positive behaviour support plans.

With a diverse caseload, you will work in home or community settings, such as schools and group homes, using functional assessment tools to conduct physical and interpersonal assessments. You will also provide therapeutic interventions to support engagement, emotional regulation, and challenging behaviours.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in human services, NDIS experience, and a passion for facilitating meaningful outcomes for clients and families. Ideally, you will have 6 months of experience in positive behaviour support, IT skills, and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement positive behaviour support plans that promote person-centred and evidence-informed practice
  • Conduct functional assessments and provide therapeutic interventions to support engagement, emotional regulation, and challenging behaviours
  • Work with a diverse caseload in home or community settings, such as schools and group homes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and support
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of client interactions and service delivery

Requirements:

  • Tertiary level education in a relevant human services discipline
  • NDIS experience and registration as a minimum with the NDIS Commission
  • 6 months experience in positive behaviour support and a passion for facilitating meaningful outcomes for clients and families
  • IT skills at an intermediate level, including computer and mobile, and a willingness to embrace new technology
  • Australian driver's licence, WWCC, and satisfactory police check
