The Graduate Enrolled Nurse program aims to equip aspiring nurses with the necessary tools to provide optimal patient care while fostering a positive workplace culture.
Main Responsibilities:
- Works within the scope of an endorsed enrolled nurse under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Provides high-quality patient care utilising best practice clinical standards.
- Acts as an effective member of the multidisciplinary team.
- Delivers care and administers medication within role boundaries and legal limitations.
- Follows service quality standards, Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure high-quality services.
- Fosters a positive workplace culture through appropriate behaviour.
Key Selection Criteria:
Essential:
- Current registration as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with the relevant governing body.
- Completion of approved courses in administration and monitoring of medicines and intravenous therapy.
- Demonstrated understanding and ability to co-ordinate client care resulting in positive outcomes.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to contribute effectively in a team setting.
- Demonstrated understanding of the impact of social and cultural challenges experienced by vulnerable groups/communities.
- Knowledge and application of Continuous Quality Improvement principles in healthcare.
