RDPH is the principle tertiary hospital within the region and provides a broad range of referral services in all specialist areas to Darwin, the Top End of the NT, Western Australia and South-East Asia. Royal Darwin Hospital (RDH) is recognised as Australia's National Critical care and Trauma Response Centre, and Palmerston Regional Hospital (PRH) is a satellite campus providing elective surgical services

As a Clinical Nurse in the Operating Theatre, you will collaborate with the Nurse Unit Manager and Clinical Nurse Consultant in the Perioperative Unit to deliver high level clinical care and hold the laser, radiology and work health and safety portfolio requirements, this role will apply your well-developed knowledge, skills and experience. In addition, you will provide leadership and care coordination, work a flexible roster and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

To be successful, you will be an accomplished Nurse/Midwife with advanced perioperative skills, eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold a Graduate Diploma and/or beyond entry-to-practice certificate. A current Laser Officer Certificate and advanced clinical knowledge, skills and experience delivering laser, radiology safety and workforce health and safety requirements is essential.

Ongoing appointment is subject to possession of a Graduate Certificate beyond entry-to-practice in a relevant speciality.
