Job Overview

The Commercial Finance Director role is a senior leadership position responsible for leading the finance team and overseeing the financial performance of the division.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic financial direction to Heads of various businesses within the division.
  • Consolidating monthly results and forecasts for the Children's Services division, collaborating with Managing Directors on strategy.
  • Leading divisional budget processes and Month End reviews of homes Gross profit and EBITDAR.
  • Negotiating with Local Authorities on fees, reviewing and signing off payroll.
  • Preparing capital investment proposals for Boards and reviewing project timelines and P&L expectations.
  • Working closely with Commercial Directors to ensure key financial deadlines are achieved.

Requirements for the role include:

  • A qualified accountant or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years' experience in a similar multi-site position.
  • Strong commercial acumen, ability to manage dispersed finance departments and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Experience engaging with external stakeholders in commercial negotiations.
  • Flexibility, willingness to travel and strong teamwork skills.
