We are a leading steel reinforcing manufacturer based in Melbourne seeking an Operations Supervisor.

As a key member of our production team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our manufacturing operations, managing and empowering production staff to enhance employee performance, optimize production input & output while maintaining stringent quality standards.

Your primary focus will be on:

  • Leading a team of Operators and Team Leaders
  • Ensuring all occupational health and safety management system requirements are met and safety standards are maintained
  • Driving and managing the shift to ensure production and output Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to achieve business objectives
  • Identifying and reporting opportunities for improvement initiatives

You will have:

  • High-level problem-solving, conflict resolution, and people management skills
  • Proven experience supervising or managing large teams in manufacturing or relevant industries
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, including Microsoft Suite
  • A strong understanding of occupational health and safety management systems and cultivating a positive safety culture
  • Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills

The successful candidate will possess a proactive attitude and suitable qualifications and experience.
