Job Title: Manufacturing Operations Manager

Are you a skilled team leader with experience in manufacturing operations? Do you have a strong technical and mechanical aptitude, as well as excellent problem-solving skills?

  • This is a challenging opportunity to lead a small team of operators, supervise line operations, and ensure quality control and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to operate state-of-the-art chocolate moulding lines, including enrobing, depositing, mixing fillings, and tempering chocolate, while also organizing packing staff at end-of-line packing stations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently, following set recipes and methods to create chocolates to specification.
  • Mix and blend ingredients to prepare fillings for depositing.
  • Follow and execute production schedules.
  • Perform consistent heavy lifting of up to 25kg throughout shifts.
  • Complete machine clean down and line changeovers efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork and traceability records.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders when required.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally food or FMCG.
  • Proven leadership or team leader experience within production.
  • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a quick learning attitude.
  • Ability to perform frequent heavy lifting and manual handling tasks.
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to keep your work area clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards.
  • A can-do attitude with punctuality and reliability.
