Lead Design Manager Opportunity

This is a unique chance to oversee the entire design process for significant high voltage substation projects. As an experienced professional in design management, you will integrate multiple engineering disciplines in a collaborative environment while ensuring designs are practical, compliant and ready for implementation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Take full ownership of design delivery, managing scope, cost and schedule effectively.
  • Serve as the single point of accountability for design performance on assigned projects.
  • Coordinate and integrate multi-disciplinary design teams across civil, mechanical, electrical, control, protection and HV cable or OHL systems.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers and Engineers to achieve optimal project outcomes.
  • Resolve technical issues and maintain design momentum.
  • Ensure quality, safety and environmental standards are met throughout the design lifecycle.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 10 years or more experience in engineering, design management or project delivery roles.
  • Background in high voltage substations.
  • Proven capability in EPC environments and strong site delivery understanding.
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to deliver to time, cost and quality targets.
