Electrical Supervisor

Reporting to the Superintendent – Electrical Maintenance, the Supervisor – Fixed Plant Electrical will ensure the assets within the Concentrators, including the Blayney Filter Plant, Gold Room, and ancillary infrastructure, are maintained to achieve the required rate at the required utilisation while realising maximum metal recovery and optimum concentrate grade.
Main Responsibilities:
- Concentrator One Crushing and Screening
- Concentrator One Grinding
- Concentrator One T1 & T2 Flotation
- Concentrator One T3 Flotation
- Concentrator Two Grinding
- Concentrator Two Flotation
- CVO Filter Plant
- CVO Gold Room
- Molly Plant
- Site Utilities
Technical Accountabilities:
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with relevant Australian standards.
- Implement a structured maintenance system and ensure compliance by the work team.
- Conduct shift change over meetings and provide quality information and direction to the oncoming shift.
- Regularly review the backlog to ensure work orders are completed or rescheduled.
- Document and follow up on all safety incidents and hazards.
- Ensure completion of all maintenance tasks.
- Oversee investigations into production loss events and execute effective incident management procedures.
- Highlight and communicate critical issues to the Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Scheduler, Operations Coordinator, and Maintenance Foreman.
- Ensure productive relationships between Operations, SAOC, Asset Management, Planning, Supply, and relevant contracting companies.
- Ensure compliance with pre-start checks on mobile equipment/vehicles, welders, lifting equipment, overhead cranes, etc.
- Ensure completion of all work orders.
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with relevant Australian standards.
- Ensure Technicians capture and raise issues within their respective areas using the provided tools and systems.
Scheduling Accountabilities:
- Effectively manage the roster to ensure adequate personnel are available for required work, including communication of the roster to the work team.
- Ensure personnel are trained to the required competency level.
- Ensure Technicians adhere to work order-related documents, including JSEA's, CSRA's, SWI's, and other relevant compliance requirements.
- Complete reports at the required rate and to the required standard, when rolled.
- Contribute positively to Supervisor meetings to ensure issues are raised/discussed and resolved.
People Accountabilities:
- Develop a documented training plan to direct the crew's development in skill areas necessary for individual growth and business needs.
- Support and promote a business improvement culture by encouraging reports to enter ideas, overseeing the management of those ideas, and removing or escalating roadblocks.
- Support and promote a positive safety culture by encouraging Technicians to complete Hazard Cards.
- Conduct a minimum of 4 Field Critical Control Checks per roster cycle.
- Support and promote a safe workplace by ensuring the use of See Stop Controls and JSEA's and the continual review of these documents.
- Build and maintain a positive, productive team culture.
- Effectively roll out monthly safety presentations to the work team.
The ideal candidate will have a safety focus and the ability to improve the safety culture within the team and department.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated significant experience in Mining or Heavy Industry.
- NSW Electrical Supervisor Certificate.
- HV3 On the surface or Underground.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in high-pressure situations.
- Demonstrated ability and knowledge to work safely and follow procedures.
- Able to work in a Team environment.
