The Opportunity
We have a great career opportunity available for a Workshop Supervisor to join our highly professional and skilled team of HV Technicians working on a major mining infrastructure project.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of experienced Diesel Fitters.
- Coordinate the arrangement of daily activities tasked to the workshop fitters and subcontractors to ensure efficiencies of the repair and maintenance jobs.
- Repair, servicing and maintenance of earthmoving plant, equipment, and light vehicles.
- Expedite and coordinate any emergency, delayed or potentially delayed repair and maintenance jobs.
- Carry out lockout and tag-out systems in accordance with legislative requirements and company policy.
- Provide technical expertise to project teams and provide basic service training to plant operators where required.
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Trade Qualification – Heavy Plant.
- Proven experience in servicing and repairing Heavy Plant, Mechanical and Electrical processes.
- Clear understanding of excellence in customer service.
- Proven management skills, practices and planning ability.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and maintaining focus on priorities.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Computer literacy, particularly experience working with Microsoft Office applications.
- Highly effective planning, organising and problem solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others.
