At Databricks, we're looking for a highly skilled Pre-sales Sr. Solutions Architect to join our team. This is a full-time position that requires extensive experience in data engineering and cloud architecture.

This role involves guiding the technical evaluation phase in a hands-on environment throughout the sales process. You'll work closely with the sales team as a technical advisor and collaborate with the product team to advocate for customers' needs. Your primary goal will be to help our clients achieve tangible data-driven outcomes using our Data Intelligence Platform.

The Impact You Will Have:

  • You will be a Big Data expert on public cloud architecture and design.
  • Lead prospects through evaluating and adopting Databricks.
  • Support customers by authoring reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications.
  • Integrate Databricks with 3rd-party applications to support customer architectures.
  • Engage with the technical community by leading workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.
  • Work together with an Account Executive to form successful relationships with clients and provide technical and business value.

What We Look For:

  • Pre-sales or post-sales experience working with external clients across various industry markets.
  • Understanding of customer-facing pre-sales or consulting roles with a core strength in data engineering and cloud architecture advantageous.
  • Experience demonstrating technical concepts, including presenting and whiteboarding.
  • Experience designing and implementing architectures within public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with Big Data technologies, including Apache Spark, AI, Data Science, Data Engineering, Hadoop, Cassandra, and others.
  • Fluent coding experience in Python or Scala implementing Apache Spark, Java.
  • Experience with Data Science and related technologies (R and various algorithms) would be a plus.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $120,000 per year, based on national averages and industry standards. However, please note that this figure is only an estimate and may vary depending on location, experience, and other factors.
