Cloud Infrastructure Expertise

A prominent organisation is seeking a seasoned Cloud Platform Strategist to spearhead the migration of business applications to the cloud, develop and implement innovative cloud platforms, and define the strategic direction for their cloud environment.

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth expertise in cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or similar), a strong background in cyber security, and the ability to balance innovation with operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers, fostering a high-performing, delivery-focused culture.
  • Define and execute the cloud infrastructure strategy aligned to enterprise goals and compliance frameworks.
  • Own the platform roadmap and drive implementation via modern DevSecOps and CI/CD practices.
  • Maintain and optimise cloud services across secure environments in accordance with compliance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, architecture, and infrastructure teams to ensure secure, scalable solutions.
  • Translate cloud strategy into actionable product backlogs, managing prioritisation and operational stability.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and vendors to align services with broader IT and business needs.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience leading cloud infrastructure or platform teams within regulated environments.
  • Strong technical background in at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Experience with cloud-native architecture, infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation), and CI/CD toolsets.
  • Working knowledge of secure infrastructure delivery aligned to compliance frameworks.
  • Background in balancing infrastructure delivery with strategic platform uplift and governance.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical teams.
