**Air Travel Concierge Role Overview**

We strive to be the most useful and worry-free travel service available for all travelers. Our superior industry knowledge enables us to book travel, monitor issues, and intervene when things go wrong. We specialize in providing air travel assistance to people at various points in their journeys.

Shift Timings and Responsibilities

  • Mondays – 7pm to 3am New York Time (Tuesdays 9am to 5pm AEST)
  • Tuesdays – 7pm to 3am New York Time (Wednesdays 9am to 5pm AEST)
  • Saturdays – 8pm to 3am New York Time (Sundays 10am to 5pm AEST)

Concierges are on duty to answer urgent questions and help travelers who are stuck overnight. Email and phone systems are programmed to alert if there's a problem, but other notifications may come in.

Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Answer urgent questions and provide help to stranded travelers.
  2. Find new flight options for cancellations and missed connections in the Sabre GDS.
  3. Prepare and send flight updates.
  4. Assist with tasks such as processing refunds, filing for compensation, and other pre- and post-travel tasks as needed.
  5. When workload permits, assist with travel planning, including searching for and booking air travel, hotels, car rentals, and transfers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Reliability is critical; must be available and able to assist within 10 minutes of any alert notification.
  • Good knowledge of airline networks and options is required to find alternates quickly for stranded clients.
  • Able to work with little supervision; there will be times you'll be the only person on duty.
  • Must have common sense ability to help clients better understand what they need or should want.
  • Never be too proud to ask others for help when unsure.
  • Roll with the punches and maintain a calm demeanor; the client may be stressed and angry; you can't be.
