The Role

This is a full-time on-site position reporting to the Senior Product Manager. You will work autonomously and collaboratively with the KangaTech team to produce the award-winning KT360 platform, covering first-line support, production, maintenance, repair, and QA.

The successful candidate will be responsible for product assembly, disassembly, inspection, and receiving, as well as ongoing QA tests on hardware and software, inventory monitoring, logistics management, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Assembly & Disassembly: Perform mechanical and electronic assembly work as needed for product assembly, repair, and maintenance.
  • Incoming Parts Inspection & Receiving: Inspect incoming parts to ensure quality and accuracy by engineering specifications and manage the goods-receiving process to maintain an organised inventory system.
  • QA Tests: Conduct weekly QA tests on software and report bugs, perform ongoing QA tests on hardware, conduct functional and aesthetic checks on outgoing goods before shipment, and maintain and update QA documents.
  • Inventory Monitoring & Reporting: Record and update inventory to maintain accurate stock levels, regularly monitor inventory, and generate reports as needed, conduct regular inventory audits and stock takes.
  • Logistics Management: Package shipments efficiently, organise pickup schedules, maintain and improve warehouse facilities to ensure a safe and organised working environment.
  • Technical Support: Provide first-line support in both software and hardware to customers worldwide, file support requests from the field, liaise with internal staff to resolve issues, and create support documents for internal and customer use.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, development, and testing with a proven track record of success.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively, familiarity with common mechanical tools such as hand drills, torque wrenches, Dremel tools, etc.
  • Autonomy and Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Logistics and Safety: Strong understanding of global logistics principles and practices, knowledge of general manufacturing safety protocols and procedures.
  • Administrative Skills: Proficiency in using Google Workspace tools such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Gmail for documentation, collaboration, and communication purposes, or equivalent experience in MS Office.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively convey both technical and non-technical information.
