Medical Education Officer Job Description

Mater Education, in collaboration with Mater Research, provides educational solutions to support healthcare professionals. As a nationally accredited Registered Training Organisation (RTO), we offer courses targeted at providing outstanding educational outcomes for internal and external clients.

About the Role
  • Work as part of the Mater Education team to provide educational expertise and leadership in the delivery of medical education to prevocational and vocational medical staff.
  • Ensure ongoing training and accreditation requirements are met.

The focus of this role will be on providing high-level advice and leadership to the Medical Education Unit in areas of prevocational medical education, accreditation, assessment, evaluation, and research.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide high-level advice and leadership to the Medical Education Unit in areas of prevocational medical education, accreditation, assessment, evaluation, and research.
  2. Support best practice education and training using contemporary and interprofessional adult learning principles for all medical officers across Mater.
  3. Develop, implement, evaluate, and support excellence in medical education and training.

To succeed in this role, you will possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Adult Education, Health or related discipline, or a Tertiary clinical qualification.
  • Higher qualification or working towards a higher qualification in Adult Education, Health or related discipline.
  • High level of interpersonal communication skills with ability to work independently and collaboratively across a broad range of professional levels and streams.
