Job Title: Medical Educator - General Practice Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled medical educator to join our team in Darling Downs West Moreton, QLD. As a General Practice Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping the next generation of general practitioners by providing targeted support and education for GP registrars.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality educational programs for GP registrars, including peer learning sessions, one-on-one support, and practice visits.
  • Collaborate with Training Coordinators, Program Support Officers, and external partners to ensure optimal outcomes for registrars and practices.
  • BUILD strong relationships with registrars, supervisors, and practices, tailoring support to local needs for effective training and progress.
  • Support supervisors with professional development and in-practice teaching, promoting general practice as a career and strengthening rural and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander training pathways.
Requirements
  • RACGP fellowship (or equivalent) and a passion for medical education
  • Hold current Australian specialist registration in general practice without addenda
  • Experience in teaching or mentoring registrars, medical students, or peers is highly valued
