Job Description

As a Quantitative Systematic Trader at Susquehanna Pacific, you will combine the skills of quantitative research with knowledge of trading to develop new electronic strategies and monitor real-time performance. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Investigating ideas through market data analysis and leveraging tools in mathematics, statistics, and programming
  • Developing and implementing trading signals using back testing environments and careful analysis
  • Maintaining and improving existing trading strategies in collaboration with technologists and other researchers
  • Actively monitoring real-time performance and providing feedback for strategy evolution

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research, or Economics
  • Solid analytical problem-solving skills and excellent logical reasoning
  • Exceptional communication skills, both in understanding others and making yourself clearly understood
  • Experience writing code to process and analyze large data sets, especially in Python
  • Demonstrated interest in strategic games and/or competitive activities
