Project Management Role

Are you an experienced project manager looking to leverage your skills in a government contract role? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our team and support a range of building construction and upgrade projects across South East Queensland.

The successful candidate will lead and manage building construction/upgrade projects from planning to completion, preparing and implementing project management plans, and coordinating risk management and procurement strategies. They will also engage and manage consultants and contractors, ensuring compliance with project briefs, statutory requirements, and value-for-money outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in client-side project management for building construction/upgrade projects, strong knowledge of contract administration, and qualifications in building construction or a related discipline. They will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare project reports and stakeholder updates.

In this role, you will be working within government policies, WHS standards, delegations, and financial procedures. You will also have the opportunity to work on improving business systems and processes, and contribute to the success of our organization.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage building construction/upgrade projects from planning to completion.
  • Prepare and implement project management plans and assess delivery options.
  • Coordinate risk management, procurement strategies, value engineering, and lifecycle considerations.
  • Engage and manage consultants and contractors, ensuring compliance with project briefs, statutory requirements, and value-for-money outcomes.
  • Maintain clear project documentation, reporting, and performance tracking.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in client-side project management for building construction/upgrade projects.
  • Strong knowledge of contract administration, including the role of Principal's Representative and Contract Superintendent.
  • Qualifications in building construction or a related discipline.
  • Sound understanding of contract law, industry standards, and stakeholder responsibilities.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparing project reports and stakeholder updates.
  • Confidence working within government policies, WHS standards, delegations, and financial procedures.
