At Allan's Men's Hairdressing, we are proud to be a trusted name in the barbering industry with over 35 years of experience.

We have multiple locations across Sydney, the Central Coast, Newcastle, and Wollongong, where our team of skilled barbers provides exceptional grooming services to our clients.

Our founder, Allan, started his first shop over 35 years ago with a mission to create a space where men can receive quality haircuts and grooming services. Today, we have grown into a chain of 15 barber shops throughout Australia, all designed to provide our clients with the best possible grooming experience.

At Allan's Men's Hairdressing, we believe that getting a haircut should be an enjoyable and relaxing experience. Our team of experienced barbers is dedicated to providing personalized and professional grooming services using only the highest quality hair care products and the latest techniques and tools available.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barber to join our team at Allan's Men's Hairdressing. As a Senior Men's Barber, you will be responsible for cutting hair, attending to customer enquiries, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Cut or trim hair using clippers and scissors
  • Shave and trim moustaches and beards
  • Shape, cut, adjust, and curl wigs as required by clients
  • Operate cash registers
  • Perform limited reception duties
  • Sell salon or barber shop's retail products
  • Provide advice to clients regarding hair products and care
  • Provide appropriate post-cutting guidelines
  • Ensure cleanliness of work areas
  • Maintain and sanitise hair cutting tools and salon instruments
  • Provide demonstrations to trainees
  • Train newly hired hair stylists in a proactive manner
  • Maintain appointment calendars and customer databases
  • Respond to customer enquiries instore, online, and over the phone
  • Ensure showroom and products are well presented and tidy
  • Ensure showroom products are displayed with correct price tags
  • Greet customers as they enter the showroom
  • Contact existing customers to provide aftersales service and upsell
  • Resolves customer complaints by reporting to store manager then assist in investigating problems, developing solutions
  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, making recommendations to management
Requirements
  • Applicable years of salon store experience
  • Proven successful experience in hair dressing
