Underground Mine Planning Specialist

This role offers the opportunity to leverage extensive industry experience and expertise in underground mine planning to drive long-term strategic mine planning across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various underground mining methods and be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Leverage industry knowledge and experience to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Support the integration and optimization of Copper SA by developing and implementing mine planning strategies that align with business priorities.
  • Collaborate with project teams to deliver value through the development of underground mine designs and schedules across multiple mining methods.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Degree qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in underground mine planning and operations across various operations/projects.
  • Expertise in underground hard rock mining methods, including caving methods.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence positive change.
  • Adept at leading and influencing diverse groups in a large organization.
