Engineering Leader for Fire Safety Solutions

Key roles and responsibilities of the Fire Protection Engineer include leading the design and documentation of fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and National Construction Code requirements. The engineer will work closely with architects, project managers, builders, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
Job Description:- Lead the design and documentation of fire protection systems, including wet and dry systems, fire detection and alarm systems, hydrant and hose reel systems.
- Work closely with architects, project managers, builders, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Conduct site inspections and collaborate with contractors during construction to maintain quality and compliance.
- Support risk assessments and contribute to fire engineering strategies to ensure life safety and property protection.
- Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and deliver innovative, tailored fire protection solutions that meet regulatory requirements and performance goals.
- Tertiary qualification in mechanical or Fire Protection engineering (or related discipline).
- 5-6+ years of fire protection engineering experience within the Australian Building Services industry.
- Strong knowledge of fire protection systems design, hydraulic calculations, coordination with other services, and relevant codes and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, clear communication, attention to detail, and collaborative approach to project delivery.
