Job Title: Transport Allocator

 

Job Description:

The Transport Allocator will be responsible for coordinating the logistics of our fleet of trucks handling FCL and MT Movements in and around the Port and surrounding suburbs.

Key Responsibilities include planning export containers with the fleet to ensure timely delivery, booking slots and planning IMPORT collections to drop off at our parks, booking empty slots in 1-Stop Modal for the trucks to collect and drop MT's, liaising with drivers on a daily basis to ensure all work is being carried out correctly, liaising with yard supervisors to ensure a smooth operation, communicating with Clients to advise plans, and resolving any issues that may arise during operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years' experience in a transport-related role
  • Must know and understand Chain of Responsibility
  • Knowledge of 1-Stop and Wave operating systems
  • Knowledge of Import and Export requirements at the port
  • Knowledge of Port Botany Port Precinct and Sydney Suburbs
  • Good understanding of the Ports and Empty parks within Port Botany
  • Previous data-entry and administration experience with EXCEL
  • Willingness to learn transport operating system
  • Excellent communication and planning skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated teamworking skills and outstanding customer service skills
