Senior Research Officer">

We are seeking an experienced administrative professional to join our team in a Senior Research Officer role. This is an exciting opportunity to work with us, supporting life-changing initiatives that aim to improve heart health for all Australians.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. ">
  2. Coordinate the funding application review process annually within agreed parameters.">
  3. Manage grant review committees and provide secretariat support, including minutes and agendas.">
  4. Work with the research team to coordinate and implement an annual research grants funding calendar.">
  5. Manage existing or establish new relationships with external stakeholders, including academics, funding agencies, and consumers.">
  6. Maintain accurate records, draft reports, and ensure funding guidelines and associated materials are up-to-date.">
  7. Provide induction for new researchers to build engagement and understanding of the research program.">
  8. Develop and continuously improve operating processes and procedures.">
  9. Collaborate with other members of the research team, broader health teams, and internal teams.">

Requirements:

  1. ">
  2. Demonstrated experience in coordinating and administering programs, preferably in a health or research setting.">
  3. Ability to plan and manage an annual work cycle.">
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.">
  5. Engagement with internal and external stakeholders.">
  6. Experience managing consumers or volunteers in a research context (desirable).">
  7. Experience using data management systems (desirable).">
  8. Understanding of the research sector, preferably in a research funding context (desirable).">
