Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced administrative professional to support life-changing initiatives that aim to improve the heart health of all Australians.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate funding application reviews annually within agreed parameters.
  • Manage grant review committees and provide secretariat support (e.g., minutes, agendas).
  • Work with the broader research team to coordinate and implement an annual research grants funding calendar.
  • Maintain accurate records, draft reports, and ensure funding guidelines and associated materials are up to date.
  • Provide induction for new researchers to build engagement with and understanding of the research program.
  • Develop and continuously improve operating processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other members of the research team, broader health research and innovation teams, and internal teams.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and administering programs where you have developed and implemented operating processes and procedures, preferably in a health or research setting.
  • Able to plan and manage an annual work cycle.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience managing consumers or volunteers in a research context (desirable).
  • Experience using data management systems (desirable).
  • Understanding of the research and/or research management sector, including governance, compliance, and processes (desirable).
