Transfer Station Equipment Operator

Operator - Transfer Station
- Attractive hourly compensation with overtime potential
- Permanent full-time position
- Daytime hours – Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Position Overview
- Manage and operate onsite machinery as needed (Loader and Excavator)
- Ensure proper maintenance of equipment through pre and post-operation checks
- Operate various vehicles from our HR fleet, including hooklift and frontlift
- Guide traffic within the transfer station and assist customers with information
- Oversee the placement of waste and recyclables to enhance resource recovery
- Aim to achieve recycling targets and minimize landfill waste
- Perform general labor and administrative tasks as assigned
Candidate Profile
- Experience with loaders and excavators is preferred but not mandatory
- LF forklift license is advantageous but not required
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Commitment to safety in a high-risk environment is essential
- Ability to communicate clearly via two-way radio
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical examination, including drug and alcohol testing
