About the Opportunity

This role is part of our aquatic team, dedicated to delivering exceptional water education programs that cater to diverse age groups and abilities.

We are seeking passionate individuals who share our commitment to swimming and water safety. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of our students through our award-winning learn to swim program.

Position Purpose:
  • Develop and deliver engaging learn to swim programs for over 7000 students across multiple aquatic centers.
  • Provide personalized support and exceptional customer service to our students and their families.
  • Effectively manage class programming and meet program outcomes through efficient time management and strategic planning.
  • Participate in scheduled training sessions and team meetings to enhance professional development.
  • Promote the importance of swimming and water safety to our community members through targeted initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • A teacher qualification in swimming and water safety (AUSTSWIM, Swim Australia, or similar standard).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid Working with Children Check.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Pool Lifeguard Award or equivalent.
  • Coaching/teaching experience.
  • Knowledge of infant and preschool teaching, adult instruction, access and inclusion, and competitive strokes.
  • Class C driver's license.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and demonstrate a passion for promoting water safety and well-being.
