Job Title: Platform Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join our team at Scentre Group. As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our infrastructure, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain infrastructure-as-code using cutting-edge technologies.
  • Implement security best practices for platform infrastructure, including patch management, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.
  • Monitor and analyze trends in system performance, cost, capacity, and reliability.
  • Perform regular platform maintenance tasks, such as patching, upgrades, and backups.
  • Automate routine tasks, such as environment provisioning, testing, and monitoring.
  • Create and maintain operational documentation, including configuration support manuals.
  • Develop and optimize continuous integration and deployment processes.
  • Provide support and manage the Jira ITSM queue, supporting all teams in using platform tools and infrastructure.
  • Create, maintain, and support CICD toolsets, processes, and automation.
  • Monitor: Prometheus, AlertManager, Grafana, Google Cloud Monitoring, Azure Monitor, and Pingdom.
Requirements:
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible.
  • On-Premises: Strong experience with Active Directory, Windows, Linux, VMWare, and Veeam.
  • Hardware: Experience with HPE and Dell hardware, including Alletra, Apollo, servers, and StoreOnce.
  • Automation and Scripting: Expertise in automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Service Management: Knowledge and experience using Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud environments: Azure and Google Cloud, and familiarity with hybrid cloud deployments.
