About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to join our team at Macquarie Bank Limited. As a key member of our Platform Engineering Team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and contributing to our technology strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of our platform's infrastructure, ensuring it meets our high standards for scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Guide our technology strategy, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive our product to new heights.
  • Architect and manage highly scalable and reliable systems, leveraging expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, and CI/CD tooling.
  • Develop and implement advanced scripting skills, with a focus on pre-emptive measures and automation.
  • Stay at the forefront of technology, with a passion for innovation and a commitment to driving business outcomes.
Requirements
  • 5-7+ years of experience in platform engineering, with a proven track record in a senior or leadership role.
  • Expert knowledge of Kubernetes, AWS, and CI/CD tooling, with a strong preference for experience with the Atlassian stack.
  • Advanced scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) and familiarity with system administration tasks.
  • Understanding of Istio, networking, and security principles and technologies.
