Job Opportunity: Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Woolworths Group. As a Sous Chef, you will play a key role in the success of our culinary operations, working closely with the Head Chef to deliver exceptional food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, inventory management, and food preparation to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Lead a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure a positive and productive working environment.
  • Manage food safety and compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve kitchen efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and exceptional customer experience.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume establishment.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Operational experience in achieving financial and business targets.
  • Trade Cooking qualifications.
