Mechanical Marine Fitter Role

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to provide maintenance support on marine vessels in our Western Australian facility.

The successful candidate will dismantle and remove major components from the vessels, including thrusters, propellers, shafts, pumps, valves, engines and gear boxes, and then refurbish, repair and recondition them.

They will also reinstall the components back into the vessel, working efficiently and effectively to ensure minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dismantle and remove major components from marine vessels
  • Refurbish, repair and recondition components
  • Reinstall components back into the vessel
  • Work efficiently and effectively to minimize downtime

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must be trade qualified as a fitter
  • Hold a current driver's licence
  • Have a white card
  • Excellent diagnostic skills
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Will to work overtime, with opportunities available
