Job Title: HVAC Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Estimator to join our team at Mane Consulting. As an HVAC Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately determining the costs associated with a project or product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Analysis: Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
  • Cost Estimation: Develop detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractors. Ensure all costs are captured and presented accurately.
  • Bid Preparation: Prepare and submit bid proposals. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information.
  • Vendor Coordination: Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors. Ensure the accuracy and competitiveness of their estimates.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and report any variances. Assist in budget planning and forecasting.
  • Risk Analysis: Identify potential risks and prepare contingency plans to mitigate them. Provide recommendations to manage cost overruns.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, contracts, and supporting documentation. Ensure all documents are up-to-date and accessible.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to provide cost-related guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, advancements in construction techniques, and new cost estimation methodologies. Implement best practices to improve estimation accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience: Demonstratable experience in cost estimating, preferably in the HVAC, construction or engineering industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimation software – e.g., CAD, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).
