Director of Research and Policy

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Asia's risk landscape as a Director of Research and Policy.

The successful candidate will lead high-impact research projects across life, health, retirement, climate-related, and protection-gap themes, ensuring rigorous and actionable outputs.

You will develop and execute a policy engagement strategy, positioning our organisation as a thought leader across Asia.

The role involves overseeing operational functions, including office administration, IT infrastructure, data management, and vendor relationships, to ensure strategic alignment and efficiency.

You will convene and facilitate industry working groups to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Supporting fundraising and partner engagement by articulating compelling research and policy insights to stakeholders is also key to this role.

The ideal candidate will have around 10 years' professional experience in life/health insurance, actuarial science, risk management, or a closely related field.

A deep expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, actuarial modelling, or risk analytics is essential.

Proven organisational and operational management skills, including leading administrative teams, are required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of influencing diverse audiences, are necessary.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, translating complex issues into practical policy recommendations, are key to success in this role.

Demonstrated success in fostering collaborations with industry, regulators, and academia is also expected.

Job Requirements
