Finance Manager Role

The role of the Finance Manager is crucial to oversee the financial function of an organization.

This includes statutory accounts preparation, transaction processing, data analysis, and taxation compliance.

  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Accounting and Finance:
      • Prepare and submit monthly financial accounts and general ledger reconciliations.
      • Develop and maintain finance policies and procedures.
      • Ensure timely submission of monthly Business Activity Statements and Annual FBT and Withholding Tax Returns.
      • Oversee maintenance of Fixed Assets Register.
      • Act as point of contact for external auditors.
    • Reporting:
      • Produce Management Reports for the Board.
      • Generate funding program acquittal and budget reports.
      • Collaborate on Annual Financial Reports.
    • Business Process Improvement and Risk Management:
      • Develop and document efficient business processes and finance procedures.
      • Identify process weaknesses and recommend improvements.
      • Manage annual operational plans of Business Units.
    • System Management:
      • Implement and optimize financial and operational systems.
      • Ensure system integration across departments.
      • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A qualified financial professional with a CA or CPA designation.
  • Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting, budget preparation.
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in use of financial software and Microsoft suite.
  • An effective team player with exceptional time management.
